The year ends as it began, on an Egyptian note as, in a third consecutive final against England, the Men’s World Teams is added to the Egypt’s title collection.

Then in Manchester two all-Egyptian World finals sees Mohamed Elshorbagy and Raneem El Welily, both in their third finals, finally become World Champions.

Then, having reached the World final against his brother, Marwan goes on to claim the Pakistan Open title.

The season ends on Boxing day in Doha, and 2017′s last champions are crowned in the SJO in Edinburgh. Which leads us on nicely to 2018 and the BJO in Birmingham
