The top seeds will contest the semi-finals of both the Men’s and Women’s European Club Championships after a second day of play at the Ahern Sports Park in Paderborn saw all the matches go to seeding.
The early men’s matches finalised the four Pool placings while the top four women’s seeds moved through to Pool deciders.
Women’s Deciders
In the women’s Pool A decider hosts Paderborn went one nil up over defending champions Edgbaston courtesy of Nour El Tayeb, but the English team took the next two matches to secure the Pool win. Top seeds Mulhouse eased past Newlands in the other decider.
Men’s Quarters
Men’s top seeds Paderborn comfortably won their two matches on the glass court, beating Espoo in the quarters, while second and third seeds Mulhouse and Colets having already qualified yesterday won their evening matches with ease to progress to the semis.
Fourth seeds Hamburg were untroubled in their morning match, but in the evening Pool D decider Edinburgh gave them a run for their money, taking the match to a best-of-one decider.
